The Office of Study Abroad encourages students to apply for two programs: your first choice and a backup.

In order to avoid a $50 application processing charge for the backup program, students must make a program decision by 11:59 PM CST on the day of the posted application deadline. (February 7 for summer programs and March 6 for fall/academic year programs).

To do this, login to your online study abroad portal and select the program from which you wish to withdraw. Update your application status to 'Withdrawn' and provide a brief explanation.

If you are planning to participate in two separate study abroad programs during the summer, you are not required to withdraw your second application. This information is intended only for students who submit two program applications but are only planning to enroll in one program.
