Program Overview

Your Engineering, Technology + Sciences program in Dublin lasts a full semester and offers you an integrated global learning experience that connects your coursework with real-world applications. You will enroll in a combination of CIEE courses, host institution courses, and courses taught online through CIEE's global academic partner, ASU, that focus on science, technology, engineering, or math. Enhance your experience with co-curricular and extracurricular activities related to engineering, technology, and science. Live and learn in Dublin!

CIEE Dublin offers housing in apartments located?in student residence communities. All housing options are located in lively districts with multiple dining options, convenient public transport, and are within 30 minutes of walking access to central Dublin.

Activities

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Dublin will open doors for you to explore Ireland's rich diversity, language, culture, history, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.  

Samples of past excursions and activities: 

  • Explore Dublin’s coastline on a trip to the village of Howth and eat Fish and chips straight from the sea
  • Tour the cathedrals, castles, and breweries of Kilkenny, the most complete medieval city in Ireland
  • Get to know Dublin with cultural activities such as guided walking tours, visits to museums, cathedrals, and galleries

Academics

CIEE Dublin: Study in the heart of Dublin’s lively south central district, five minutes from the River Liffey and Merrion Square. CIEE Dublin features three classrooms and a student lounge and is conveniently near a mix of independent cafés, bakeries, and stores.

University College Dublin (UCD) is located less than three miles from the center of Dublin, and offers 60 sports clubs, 100 societies and clubs, and an active student union. UCD is ranked in the top 1% of universities internationally and hosts more than 30,000 students, 27% of which are international.

Arizona State University (ASU): Brought to you by CIEE in partnership with ASU, enhance your international coursework with online classes that align with your degree requirements. ASU offers thousands of online courses in asynchronous 7.5-week sessions that fit within the CIEE academic calendar.

GAIN Travel Grants - Up to $1,500 toward travel costs guaranteed to students with a FAFSA SAI of $10,000 or less. Higher should still apply!

Gilman Go Global Grants - Up to $2,500/semester, $1,500/quarter, and $1,000 guaranteed to Benjamin A Gilman International Scholarship applicants.

Merit-Based Scholarships - Up to $2,500/semester, $1,500/quarter, and $750/summer awarded to students deomonstrating high academic achievement.
